Distribution systems as we know them today are the result of their interaction with business environment factors and information technologies. Based on the conceptual characteristics of integrated distribution systems and the role of information technologies to their development, this paper aims to present a new concept about the relationship between them as a symbiotic, bidirectional and stimulating one. We have outlined in detail the major aspects of that relationship; the short-term and long-term effects, which it produces, as well as the prospects for their further symbiosis.

This article presents an example of effectively applying the architectural approach to the design of a digital platform to aggregate digital services in an industrial enterprise, based on the case study of an aviation holding company. It reviews options for the further design of IT processes to support digital services provided by a digital platform created with the frameworks Cobit 5 and ITIL 3. The architectural models reviewed in the paper are built using the enterprise architecture modeling language ArchiMate.

We review major economic theories within the historical context in which they appeared to arrive at arguments in favour of or against state intervention in the economy of a nation, in contrast to the effects produced by the ‘invisible hand’ of the market.

In general, the public not only in the UK, but in the world, has very limited knowledge of the funeral industry, yet feels easy to criticize it or judge the ones employed, and associateted with the funeral industry. Unknown but, nevertheless, inherently stigmatized role of the funeral director is investigated. Identifying managerial issues in the course of researching the chosen area of study allowed authors to recognize the conflict between the empowered funeral director and disadvantaged, by the virtue of distress purchase, bereaved customer.
