The study focuses on four main stages in the development of EU trade relations with Russia, covering the time horizon between 1992 and 2020. These stages are conditional and follow the analogy of the life cycle main stages (establishment, growth and maturity of relations). However, in connection with the reciprocal restrictive measures constituting a special interest in the context of the issues discussed in the study, the contemporary stage, conditionally called the period of challenges, is examined separately. The relevance of the topic and the importance of the problem are related to the strategic significance of EU trade relations with Russia and the intensity of trade, investment and financial flows migrating between them on the one hand, and to the need to revise these relations in the context of the modern economic and political environment, on the other.

  Public sector reform processes have brought a wide range of improvements in many areas of public service delivery. Public sector reform processes have brought a wide range of improvements in many areas of public service delivery. This study explores the reforms activities initiated by Australian public sector organizations in the context of new public management ideals. New public management ideals believe that management in the public sector is not different from management in the private sector. Since 1980s the Australian public sector has been dominated by the new public management principles as a response to reform initiatives and eventually different private sector management practices have been introduced in public sector. Literature supports that the Australian public sector organizations have changed their structure and operation in line with the private sector to achieve cost-efficiency, budget accountability and an improved customer focus in service delivery. However, this study doesn’t intent to generalize any findings rather highlights a summary based on available literature. Though the context of the present research is Australia, it may be equally useful to every policy maker who are engaged in formulating new policies for respective public sector. Moreover, the findings reported in this study would be useful to the public sector managers in their day to day decision-making

The methodological and normative framework of the internal control is constantly developed and enriched, as a result of external and internal challenges and the accumulated experience in the organizations. Internal Control - Integrated Framework (ICIF) of the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) laying the foundations and principles of the modern understanding of internal control, also got a new edition in 2013. One of the goals of change is its rules to comply with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley or SOX Act. The normative base of the financial control in the organizations from the public sector in Bulgaria is adequate to the elements and principles of the updated version of ICIF, but its implementation shows some shortcomings due to the formal attitude to the requirements and the lack of an appropriate "tone at the top" in some organizations. The article emphasizes the need for electronization of control systems in public organizations. The possibilities of some cloud-based software products and electronic platforms for improving the efficiency and transparency of control are presented.
